At Kota Kinabalu the works were then re-crated and shuttled down the coast to the east Malaysian state of Sarawak, where Katherina’s next event opened on 9 May 1990.

Sarawak has a legendary “reputation”, as it was founded and for a century run by white “Rajahs” and their wives the “Ranees”, from the receipt of the concession in 1839 until just after the end of the 2nd World War, in 1946.
